M i trabajo está caracterizado por el continuo uso de diversas técnicas y materiales. En los últimos años me he sentido atraída por los vestigios o rezagos de elementos culturales que alguna vez formaron parte de la circulación masiva. La apropiación de material gráfico y su posterior re-elaboración con otros fines me han servido para explorar temas de memoria, pasado, identidad e historia. Considero que a pesar de la apacible pero deliberada ironía que envuelve a mi obra, existe un claro signo de lucidez. No es el retorno de lo real lo que propongo, sino una realidad no retornable. La paradoja que planteo es que todo se torna en ausencia sin que nada se hunda en el olvido. Y que todo se toque sin que medie proximidad alguna, porque estamos en un mundo de vasos comunicantes”. “My work is characterized by the ongoing use of diverse techniques and materials. The remains or things left behind by cultural elements that at one point were part of mass circulation, have attracted me in recent years. Appropriating graphic material and its later re-elaboration with other purposes has served me to explore issues around memory, the past, identity and history. I think that despite the placid but deliberate irony that surrounds my work, there is a clear sign of lucidity. It is not the return of what is real that I propose, but a non-returnable reality. The paradox I state is that everything turns into absence without anything sinking into oblivion. And that everything is touched upon without any proximity mediating because we are in a world of communicating vessels”.
